The Texas Turbines are an all original American band with country, blues and Southern rock influences, including a little Louisiana influence. Some like to say they play majestic songs of heartbreak and pain!
The Texas Turbines have been playing locally in Houston for 8 years at the following venues: Continental Club, The Big Easy, Under the Volcano, Shoeshine Charley’s Big Top Lounge, Shakespeare’s Pub, The Patio At The Pit Room, the Cottonwood, Shady Acres Saloon, 8th Wonder Brewery, the Rodeo Cook-Off, Dan Electro's Guitar Bar, Betsy's at Evelyn's Park, a venue in Gruene, TX and several private parties.
The Turbines, comprised of Jim Ferguson, guitar and vocals, Billy Cohn, bass and vocals, Chris Simon, drums, have been mainstays in the Houston music community for the last 40+ years.
